Bed.

Bed.

Some are born in bed. Some die.
Some write in bed…and others lie
in reverie in bed.
Some sleep.

Some make their shopping lists
in bed…

Apple Mouse.
Clothes Pegs.
Salt.
Food for the cat.
Milk. Figs….and bread.
Lace up walking shoes.

Some read in bed…
and some curl up to leave
the world behind, in bed.

Looking back at you
and me in bed…
That is another life….
Now gone…it’s dead.
