Dear Rhino. (White Rhino)
You last of all the males great lumbering beast
Have left this saddened planet
with it’s dying foliage…
We were too careless and too selfish
in our ways to let the rhino live.
Too cruel.Too menacing. Too barbarous:
Too negligent to turn to you,
and face your fate
in time to care.
And only two remain…
Two lonely female ungulates.
They walk towards extinction
with every step they take.
With every empty step.
