A Portrait.
Does my face capture you ?
Do my eyes, my nose,
My parted lips,, mean anything to you?
Do you see…three persons in one?
Myself…the primitive human being,
the one that was always there.
And she……that feels
and breathes in living flesh.
And the genius… who can leave herself
and look back into herself….
…Like walking into a sacred silent cloister
in Italy…and gazing at the frescos where
all the folly of humanity,
all the joys of birth and death are found.
Where each human emotion is spiked
onto the tip of the paintbrush…
and laid out in mysterious pigmentation.
There is a telling landscape in a face.
Gaze into my eyes…
and I will gaze back into yours.
