Dull Clouds over Dublin Dream
Just when I thought it was hopeless
The whole damn thing was so depressing
Gripped by grey
Enveloped by grim
Dropping from each corner of the sky
Over this isle of gloom
Just as I felt all this I saw the brim of your hat
Marching in
Followed by the swagger of your smile
Your hair a bit around your ears
Your Lautrec lips soft as kittens
And when you gathered me in your warm
Black shirt arms
I knew the whole thing was a dream
I had to wake from
And face up to the fact
That you did not exist
And that
I had made the whole thing up
To fill a void.
It was a
Dull Clouds over Dublin Dream.
