The Neon Boneyard....

When my aurora dims where will I lie ?
When my old soul no longer takes the charge…
and my paled colours fail to blaze their neon joys,
Where shall I lay my bones ?

The soil is cold , remote ...it’s not a place I know.
Since after this long Hades there will be no spring
I do not wish to sing my final song down there.

Where can I go...?

There is a place where lights no longer flash…
Where fallen Neons lie ..
The Neon Boneyard seems a lovely kind of trash ...my kind
I’d find a sort of comfort there

I’d lie between Lido and the Moulin Rouge
Lay my old head on some large letter S...
Rise up at night and dance amongst the hidden lights,
The Giant Skull, the Golden Nugget’s weird delights,
and kiss the neon feathers of the Lucky Duck…
and sing the Sassy Sally’s long lost song..
About a broken marriage
…. at Wedding Chapel… Sin.

When my light no longer shines...
I’ll be amongst those rainbow colours in the night ..
I’ll slip unseen into the Neon Boneyard
And rest contented with the fallen past.
