That Long Gone Star
In infinity… we are smaller than a tiny dot.
And yet our joys and troubles seem so large
To us.
To look up to the canopy of night
… and know the eye can see
A million miles away..
A star that is no longer there.…
Is mystery.
I’d like my bones to
Lie in soil
Beneath that long gone star..
Be lit by it…
The finite shining down on my mortality.
Beaming ….in non existence…
From Infinity….
Now that’s some trip.
